Quality Policy Statement

Our aim is to consistently deliver and exceed our customers’ expectations in performance and quality. We also value everyone associated with our business, and strive to develop the best operational relationships with our suppliers. We work internally to foster teamwork and employee empowerment, and continuously improve our workforce, processes and products.

Our goal is 100% conformance to customer specification. Our products are developed, applied and manufactured to our customer’s stated requirements and specifications in accordance with stated policies and procedures.

The company believes that:

  1. Every member of the business shares the responsibility for quality and quality improvement.
    • company managers, through their own behaviours and adherence to practices and standards, will endeavour to lead by example. They will give complete commitment and allocate the necessary resources to the quality policies and programmes that are initiated.
    • everyone has the scope to contribute to continuous quality improvement. Those taking initiatives will generate effective conditions for staff to participate creatively in the design, implementation and review of improvement activities, as we believe that the abilities, knowledge and experience of our staff are our most valuable resource.
    • we will focus our efforts on ensuring that all our customers are completely satisfied with the products and services we provide to them, and to make relevant improvements when appropriate and cost effective.
    • we will establish and maintain a quality management system which meets or exceeds the requirements of the internationally recognised ISO 9000 series of standards, and therefore allows us to provide products and services of the highest quality.
  2. Quality processes and controls will be implemented in a systematic and planned way across the business and given consistent and thorough attention. Specialist quality management roles and systems will be clearly defined and reviewed regularly.
  3. To be committed to quality processes and outcomes the focus must be on doing things correctly the first time. This is achieved by adherence to the quality management system.
  4. Wherever practicable, we will work in partnership with our suppliers, as a natural adjunct to the quality policy.
  5. Information, communication, education and training have leading roles to play in the implementation of the quality policy. To ensure that everyone is empowered to contribute, the policy, its practices and programmes, are disseminated and promoted widely internally and externally using a range of methods and media.
  6. Assistance will be given to support the learning, education and training needs of staff at all levels so that they possess the competences for their role within the quality policy.
  7. Implementation and review of the quality management system will be a specific and high priority agenda item for all management meetings and company briefings.

This policy is implemented at each Controlled Power Technologies facility through our quality management system and changes to this policy shall be driven by audit results, changing circumstances and the commitment to continual improvement. Staff awareness of this policy is ensured by providing appropriate training and communications. This policy forms the basis for the quality management system and is binding on all employees.

The CPT Quality Management System (QMS) applies to all product development activities of CPT, and has been structured for compliance with ISO 9001. The Quality Management System is fully documented and structured in 3 levels:
